Race Overview

You must register by 8/15/25 to submit memorial names for shirts/signs, guarantee a race shirt. We will not accept shirt sizes after this date!

• Shirt Availability: Check with our packet pickup committee for extras
• Shirt Price: $20 if available
• Important: No guarantee of extra shirts

Memorial Name Submission

Guaranteed memorial name submission and shirt order deadlines:

• Deadline: August 15, 2025
• Check Spelling: Ensure accurate spelling during registration
• Memorial Items: "We Remember Them" signs displayed along the course
• Pre-registration: Required for inclusion in shirt design

Packet Pickup

• Location: The Amelia Center - 1513 4th Ave S - Birmingham, AL 35233
• Date & Time: Thursday, September 11th from 10 am - 4:30 pm
• Team Coordination: Designate one person per team for pickup
• Unclaimed Packets: Must be picked up on race day or donated

We are very excited to host our 17th memorial run/fundraiser at Homestead Hollow in Springville, AL.

• Excitement: Partnering with Homestead Hollow for a meaningful event

Race Day Information

Saturday, October 1, 2026 at Homestead Hollow, 1161 Murphrees Valley Road, Springville, AL 35146

• Arrival Time: No later than 7:30 AM
• Registration: Same day registration starts at 7 AM
• 5K Start: 8:00 AM
• Fun Run: Follows the 5K start

Post-Race Awards

• 5K Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in gender/age categories
• Fun Run Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
• Top Online Fundraisers: Be sure to set up your fundraiser page
• Largest Team: Award for pre-registered teams only

Community Acknowledgements

This race could not take place without the Baby Steps Race Committee, each participant, volunteers, and business sponsors. We extend a big shout out to our committee for all of their hard work and to Homestead Hollow for hosting this event.

Health Guidelines

• Stay Home: Do not attend if you are ill or have symptoms
• Mask: Masks are welcome, but not required
• Exposure: Wear masks if exposed to COVID within 10 days
• Hand Sanitizer: Available at the race: please practice hygiene
