Bridge Builder 5K

Event Overview

Join runners and walkers from across the Magic City and surrounding areas as they participate in Birmingham’s newest annual running event. The Bridge Builder 5K Run is entering its fifth year and will be held this year on May 23, 2026 in downtown Birmingham at Rail Road Park. The race is conducted through the efforts of the dedicated volunteers of Omega Scholarship and Benevolence Fund (OSBF) and the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Community Involvement

On behalf of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and our 501(c)3 foundations, OSBF and the Birmingham Chapter of Omega Lamplighters, we are asking for your support to assist in our labors as community leaders.

Omega Scholarship and Benevolence Fund

• Mission: OSBF is an approved 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing scholarships and benevolent funding to deserving students and organizations to assist with educational needs.
• Community Service: Provide support in the areas relating to public and community service initiatives.
• Inspiration: Inspire others to realize their full potential as productive and responsible citizens.
• Youth Guidance: Address issues facing youth and provide them the proper guidance in our community.

Birmingham Omega Lamplighters

• Focus: A youth leadership mentoring organization dedicated to young men ages 12-18.
• Role Models: Provides positive role models in helping these young men acquire interpersonal skills and a sense of worth and empowerment.
• Development: Helps to develop the youth into role models for other youth and ultimately into contributing adults.
• Aim: To turn good young men into GREAT young men!
