Lace up your running shoes and join the excitement at Camp El Tesoro in Granbury on January 22-23, 2027, as we launch the eighth annual Camp Classic Trail Run! Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or just getting started, there’s something for everyone with our 5K, 10K, and Kids 1M Fun Run. It’s more than just a run: it’s a journey through the breathtakingly diverse landscape of Camp El Tesoro. From enchanting woods to expansive prairies and serene creek-side paths, you’ll traverse the very essence of nature.

But that’s not all – you can turn the weekend into an unforgettable experience! Upgrade your adventure with a Gourmet Steak Dinner crafted by the renowned Chef Jon Bonnell and extend the magic with a Cozy Cabin Overnight Camp Stay the night before the race.

Award Categories

• Categories: For both the 5k and 10k and The Challenge
• Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and over
• Overall Awards: Unique awards for Overall Male, Female, Masters Male and Female
• Age Group Awards: Awards for 1st in each age group and gender for 5k, 10k and The Challenge.

Award Ceremony

Award Ceremony will be hosted at Camp El Tesoro in the Main Lodge.

Early Packet Pick Up

• Time: 4 p.m. at the Welcome Center at Camp El Tesoro

Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 am - 8:30 am: Runners Check in at Welcome Center
• 8:30 am: Kids 1K Fun Run starts
• 8:45 am: The Challenge (5k & 10K) race starts
• 9:00 am: 5K & 10K starts: Archery Games for spectators & racers from 9:00 am - 11:00 am
• 11:00 am: Awards ceremony
