The Capable of More Challenge
A Global Running Day Celebration hosted by RUNegades.
Join us for Year 2 of The Capable of More Challenge, a four-hour, team-based running experience built around one simple idea: You’re Capable of More than you think.
This isn’t about racing. It’s about showing up, finding your people, and discovering what happens when you keep going together.
Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been running for years, this event is designed to feel different. Less pressure. More connection. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone else, but you might surprise yourself.
What This Is In Two Sentences
- Event Type: A team-based running event.
- Participants: Up to 10 people, 4 hrs around a track, as many or few laps as you'd like.
- Purpose: Designed to connect the running community through belonging.
- Key Message: Help you realize you’re Capable of More, together.
How It Works
- Start Time: We start at 8am for welcome and overview.
- Laps Duration: 8:15am-12:15pm: Your team will run or walk as many laps as you want. There is no minimum number of laps.
- Team Size: Teams consist of 2 to 10 people.
- Track Usage: Up to 3 teammates on the track at a time.
- Rotation: Rotate runners on the track over 4 hours.
- Tallying: As you finish your lap(s), tally them on your team's poster board.
- Team Captain: Sign up first. Share your team name with those planning to join your team.
- Team Items: Bring chairs, tents, snacks, and anything that helps you settle in and enjoy the morning.
- No Team: Do not have a team? Join a RUNegades team. We have you covered.
- Contact: Email j.christie285@gmail.com with questions.
Each hour brings a new energy with challenges, themes, and moments designed to build connection.
What Makes This Different
- Team Challenges: Team-based challenges, music, snacks, themes.
- Special Events: Hardest mile challenge.
- No Pressure: No pressure to perform.
- Inclusivity: No expectations to hit a certain number, no "runner look" required.
Just people choosing to show up, move their bodies, and be part of something bigger than themselves. Because running should not feel intimidating. It should feel like something you belong in.
