Overview
- Event Start: Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Children’s Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather to raise awareness and support for vulnerable children around the world.
- Global Orphan Care: Through Lifeline’s global orphan care ministry (GOC), children are being loved, equipped, and encouraged as they enroll in school, learn life skills, and hear the hope of the gospel.
- Date: On Saturday, August 29th, runners from across the country will lace up for this life-changing cause.
- Location: Whether you join us in Birmingham, AL or choose to Run Where You Are, your miles matter!
Event Details
- Birmingham Venue: The race takes place at Veterans Park.
- Family Activities: It’s a fun-filled morning with bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and activities for the whole family.
- Virtual Participation: With our Run Where You Are option, you can participate from your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill.
- Race Packet: Virtual runners receive a race packet in the mail, including a T-shirt, and can run anytime on or before August 29th.

- T-Shirt Deadline: PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CAN NOT ENSURE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SHIRT BEFORE AUGUST 29TH IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION AFTER 8/10/26.
- Date and Venue: Saturday, August 29th – Veterans Park on Valleydale Road.
- Packet Pickup: Birmingham Packet Pickup: Friday, August 28th from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM at TrakShak280.

- 7:00 AM: Registration and Vendor Booths open.
- 8:00 AM: 5K begins.
- 8:45 AM: 1 Mile Fun Run begins.
- 9:45 AM: Awards.
- 10:00 AM: Family Festival.

Refund & Weather Policy
Thank you for being part of our event! All registration fees are non-refundable. If we need to cancel or adjust the event due to weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be issued. In these situations, your payment will be considered a donation to support Lifeline’s mission.
We may also make changes to event details if needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
