Christmas Classic 5k at Oak Mountain State Park

Event Overview

Join us this holiday season for Finish Line Event’s Christmas Classic 5k at Oak Mountain State Park! Whether you’re racing for a personal best or taking a scenic hike with your family around Double Oak Lake, this event offers something for everyone. This race is child participation friendly and encouraged! We will simply ask those for the need for speed to start at the front of the line!

Unique Features

This race offers TWO FINISH LINES!

• Polar Plunge Finish Line: For those that dare you can participate in the Polar Plunge Finish Line benefiting Alabama Wildlife Center. At the donations page, please make the $20 donation to be able to enjoy the icy waters. All proceeds will go directly to the Alabama Wildlife Center at Oak Mountain State Park.
• Alternative Finish Line: Do not worry about the donation and there will be a finish line for those that do not want to participate in the Polar Plunge. Just make sure to cheer when you see people make the icy jump!

What to Expect

All 5k participants can look forward to:

• Alabama Wildlife Center Predator Flyover: To kick off the race.
• Meet Local Wildlife: A chance to meet some of the center’s birds and other local critters.
• Delicious Post-Race Brunch: Enjoy a delightful meal after the race.
• Incredible Swag: Receive unique Christmas Classic merchandise!
• Polar Plunge: A refreshing way to cool off.
• Major Awards: Don’t forget about the “Major awards” for the best tackiest sweater!

This will be a cup-less event. A special thanks to our sponsors at SouthernBiotech for making all 2025 Finish Line Events cup-less and providing our participants reusable race cups!

Please note all participants and those in attendance are required to pay a $5 admission gate fee to Oak Mountain State Park.
