Jurassic Jaunt – 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, and Half Marathon

🦖 Jurassic Jaunt Overview

Embark on a prehistoric adventure at the Jurassic Jaunt - Roar to the Finish 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon! While dino costumes are encouraged, they're not mandatory, allowing participants to choose their level of dino-mania. Feel the thrill of the chase and let out your inner T-Rex or soar like a Pterosaur as you race toward the finish line. It’s a journey through time, where every step is a stride into the ancient world. Hurry, roar, and run before you become extinct – the Jurassic Jaunt awaits!

📍 Event Details

• Date: 2025-09-21
• Start Location: 5400 E Ocean Ave, Long Beach, CA 90803
• Parking: Parking in the lot is $2/hour and starts at 8am, if you are running the Half/10m you can use the Passport app to pay for parking. Street parking is free.

🗓 Event Schedule

• 6:20am: Bib pick-up opens at the tables closest to Claremont Ave
• 7:00am: Half marathon & 10m start
• 7:30am: 5k & 10k start
• 10:20am: Course closes (3 hours, 20 minutes for the Half and 10m)

📏 Course Information

• Out and Back Courses: The 5k route is used for the 5k (one lap) and 10k (two laps).
• Half Marathon: The 5m route is run twice and the 5k route is run once.
• Beach Path: The path is open, so please stay on the right side designated for pedestrians.
• Spectator Area: A tent will be set up west of the Finish Line for spectators.

💧 On-Course Support

• Water Stations: Fully stocked water station at the Belmont Pier and at the finish line.
• First Aid: First aid kits available at each station, and all High Tides Crew Members are CPR trained.
• Course Marking: Clear turns marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag.
• Finish Line Aid: Stocked with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks.

🎖 Final Details

• Bib Placement: Please wear your race bib on the front of your shirt.
• Gear Check: Leave personal items with staff at the registration tent, bring your own bag.
• Awards: 1st place medals for overall 1st male and female in each distance.
• Results & Photos: Results and photos will be sent the day after the race: race photos are free!
