Earth Day 5k Family Fun Run/Walk

🌍 Event Overview

Join us for the Earth Day 5K Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25, 2026, benefitting the La Porte City Park Foundation! This race is an official 2026 Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup Series event. The course will be a beautiful loop around Clear Lake with an out‑and‑back section on the Chessie Trail.

Start/Finish Location: Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater, La Porte, IN 46350

Celebrate Earth Day and support your local parks by participating in this eco‑friendly event. All proceeds from the race will go toward park improvements and environmental initiatives in our community. Whether you're a seasoned runner earning Gold Cup Series points or just looking for a fun outdoor activity with family and friends, this event is for you!

• Shirt Cost: A race shirt costs approximately $10 to produce.
• No Shirt: If you choose “No Shirt,” we won’t order a shirt for you, and that $10 stays with the La Porte City Park Foundation to support local parks and environmental initiatives.
• Choice: Choose a shirt if you’ll truly wear it — choose No Shirt to make the biggest Earth Day impact.

• Regular Registration (March 18 – April 11): $35 (ages 9+), $5 (ages 0-8) (Last chance to guarantee a shirt and medal!)
• Late & Race Day Registration (April 12 – April 26): $40 (ages 9+), $5 (ages 0-8) (No guaranteed shirt or medal.)
