Join the Seashore Striders for one of the most popular 5k races in "Beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park" in Lewes. The 18th Race for the Ribbon 5k. The 2nd event in the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series, this year's 18th Race for the Ribbon 5k will be held "live" only. The local 5k is a great event raising money every year for the terrible disease of Cancer...Over the last 18 years, under the leadership of the longtime great race organizer Stephanie Shuttleworth, the event raised thousands & thousands of dollars for so many families & children who have been affected by Cancer. This event also remembers Nancy Hendershot, the mother of Stephanie who this event has honored as well since the very beginning. Come join the Seashore Striders on their starting line. We look forward to being your host!

💖 2025 Proceeds

• Beneficiary: Proceeds to benefit Reese Cathcart...
• Diagnosis: Reese was recently just diagnosed with stage 4 dysgerminoma (a malignant germ cell tumor).
• Treatment: Starting next week, Reese will undergo inpatient chemo.
• Support: If you are able to help the Cathcarts during this unimaginable time please Run or Walk in support of Reese or you can make a donation to the cause.

• Venue: Main Beach Parking Lot...North Side...Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes.

• Start Time: 7:30 am

📝 Race Registration

• Pricing: $30.00 "Early Bird" Registration...through May 18th at midnight.
• Pre-Registration: $35.00 May 19th through May 31st at 10 pm.
• Race-Day Registration: $40.00, opens at 6:00 am and closes at 7:15 am.
• Online Registration: All participants registered by Monday, May 26th will be guaranteed a t-shirt.

🏆 Awards

• Categorization: Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three Male & Female finishers in the following 16 age categories.
• Timing: Awards will be presented within 20 minutes following the final runner crossing the finish.
• Pickup: If you miss the awards ceremony you may pick up locally.
• Shipping: Your award will be shipped to you for a cost of $10 to cover postage.

The 18th Race for the Ribbon 5k course is a flat & fast out & back course in beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park.

• System: Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

• Awards Ceremony: Post-Race awards ceremony within 20 minutes following the final finisher.

• Policy: The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy.
• Options: Options provided include transferring to a future event, donating entry fees, or deferring to the following year.
