Description
- Event: Please join us for the 5th Original East Shore 5k Run and 5k Walk on July 5th, 2026.
- Open to: This event is open to the public and all runners whether you are a seasoned runner or first-time runner or walker.
- Beneficiary: Proceeds from the 2026 East Shore 5K will help benefit "Our Nations Promise" who are committed to the American heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice and never returned home.
- Mission: "Our Nations Promise" is committed to expanding its impact in pursuit of our nations sacred promise: TO NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN HERO BEHIND!
Event Information
- Medals: There will be Division Medals for all age groups.
- Awards: Cash award for Top Male & Female Runners, 1st Place and 2nd Place.
- Raffle: All participants that register for East Shore 5k will be eligible for free cash drawing (entry card received at event).
- Team Award: There is also a Group/Team cash award for teams of 5 participants or more per team.
Course Information
- Scenic Route: The East Shore 5K Run/Walk is a scenic course which runs alongside the New Haven waterfront.
- Path: Offering beautiful views on a flat path making it enjoyable for seasoned and beginner participants.
- Water Stations: Water stations along the path are available for your hydration and to energize you through the race.
- Support: The course is well marked and manned by volunteers to guide your run/walk smoothly.
Participation
- Mission: Come and participate for a fun, safe, and meaningful event and "Run For a Hero".
- Registration: Registration opens 8:30 am raceday down near the pickleball courts, last right hand turn on Woodward Ave before you get to Coast Guard Station.
- No Refunds: NO REFUNDS BUT CAN TRANSFER A REGISTRATION.
