Long Beach Race for Rare 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The National MPS Society will host a timed 5K run/walk, beginning at 9 AM on Saturday, September 13. Packet pickup and day of registration will open at 7:30 AM. A picnic for attendees and volunteers will be held after the race!

👥 Participants of All Ages

• Open to everyone: This event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities.
• Registration options: You can register as an individual or as part of a team.
• Social media engagement: Share your 5K route photos using the hashtag #MPSAwareness to help raise awareness.
• Event goal: Our goal is to bring awareness to MPS and ML.

🌍 Virtual Participation

It is just like any other 5K, except there is no official race location. You get to choose where, with whom, and even how you want to complete the 5K. By participating virtually, you can run the 5K at any time leading up to September 13th. It can even be done in increments, keep track of your distance until you hit the 5K!

🎖️ Sponsorship Opportunities

• Platinum Corporate Sponsorship: $1,500 (Includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, banner at the event, and up to 20 participants)
• Gold Corporate Sponsorship: $1,000 (Includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, small sign at the event, and up to 15 participants)
• Team Sponsorship Level 1: $500 (Includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, and up to 10 participants)
• Team Sponsorship Level 2: $300 (Includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, and up to 5 participants)

👕 T-Shirt Information

In-person runners: Shirts guaranteed if you register by August 10th or for the first 200 registrants. Virtual runners: Register by August 10th to receive your shirt in time!

🕘 Race Schedule

• 7:30 AM: Onsite registration and packet pick-up
• 9:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk
• 10:00 AM: Awards
• 10:25 AM: Family Picnic

💰 Team Fundraising

• Start fundraising: At the top, hover over "Donate"
• Become a fundraiser: Select "become a fundraiser"
• Create your page: Choose your photo, team name, bio, and fundraising goal!
• Share your link: Allow people to donate directly to your fundraiser!
