Tidewater Striders Duathlon

🏃‍♂️ Welcome to the 7th Annual Tidewater Striders Duathlon!

🏅 Races

• Sprint Duathlon: 2 Mile Run - 12.4 Mile Bike - 2 Mile Run
• Novice Sprint Duathlon: For beginners with less than 4 multi-sport events. Same distance as the Sprint, held simultaneously. No Age Group awards for Novice Participants.
• Kids Mini Duathlon: 1 Mile Run - 5 Mile Bike Ride - 1/2 Mile Run
• Bike Racks: Available and ready on race morning by 7 AM.

⏰ Time Limits

• Sprint: Starts at 7:30 AM, 3-hour time limit.
• Kids Mini: Starts at 9:15 AM, 2-hour time limit.

🏞️ Course

• Type: Out and back course on the closed 2-lane roadway at Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake.

🥤 Fluids and Food

• Stations: 2 aid stations available.
• Location: One at the transition area, another at the one mile run turnaround.
• Offerings: Water and Gatorade provided.

🎉 Amenities and Post-Race

• Shirts: Premium race shirts for men and women.
• Medals: All finishers will receive medals.
• Hospitality: On-site hospitality and refreshments.
• Awards Ceremony: Following the race.

🏆 Awards

• Sprint Duathlon: Top 3 overall male and female, masters, and top 3 males and females in 10-year age groups will receive awards.
• Novice Sprint: Top 3 overall male and female in the novice sprint duathlon.
• Kids Mini Duathlon: Age group awards: 6 and under, 07-10, 11-12, and 13-15.
• Mini Duathlon (Adult): Open for parents/guardians to run/bike with children.

📝 Registration

• Deadline: Must register by May 31st for a guaranteed race shirt.
• Open Until: Friday, June 19, 2025, at 9 PM. No race day registration available.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: At Pedal! Bike Co. Friday 3 PM - 6 PM.
• Race Day Pickup: Starting at 6:30 AM.

🚴 Strider Plus

• Discount: Automatically applied at checkout through June 19th.

💰 Club Membership Discounts

• Discount Amount: $5.00 available up to June 19th.
• Application: Automatically applied during registration.
• Requirements: Use the account used to register for the club for discount.
• Entry Forms: No paper entry forms are available.
