🎉 The Trak Shak Retro Run 5K

The last Saturday in July! Our favorite 5K of the year! The Trak Shak Retro Run 5K is ready for 2026 with an all new theme! We're hiring a local band named Redwood to play before and after the event. They play mostly Country and Southern rock, so we thought, "How about a Retro Country Music or Southern Rock theme!" What is your retro Country or Southern Rock idea? We want to see it! The infamous costume contest should be entertaining! The contestants will be picked by spies at the finish line. You must run the entire 5K to compete. The winner will be picked by crowd reaction as we introduce each, and will receive $100 CASH!

🍔 Participant Details

• What You Get: Each participant will receive a bib, which is your food & beer ticket and a race shirt.
• Additional Tickets: You can purchase extra food and beer tickets for family and friends as you register OR if you don't plan to run, you can buy just a food and beer ticket.
• Food Provider: Oak Hill will be providing the food and we'll have ice cold taps out front for our 21 and overs!

📅 Packet Pick Up

• Friday: July 24 - 11 to 5 PM at The Trak Shak Homewood
• Saturday: July 25 - 4 to 6:50 PM at The Trak Shak Homewood

🏃‍♂️ Race Day

Race Starts at 7 PM directly in front of The Trak Shak! Here's the Course.

• Water Stop: There will be one water stop on Manhattan St. participants will go by twice, hosted and entertained by the Birmingham Track Club.
• Discount: All Birmingham Track Club members get 20% off their registration!

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winners: 1st Place Overall Male & Female - $100 Cash
• Masters Winners: 1st Place Masters Male & Female (40 & Over) - $50 Cash
• Age Group Awards: Top Male & Female in each Age Group will receive a unique award TBA!
• Age Groups: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Older

🕒 Schedule

• 4:00 PM: Registration and packet pick up starts
• 6:00 PM: Sound check and short set by Redwood
• 7:00 PM: Race Starts
• 7:15 PM: Redwood continues
• 7:30 PM: Food Service Starts (menu from Oak Hill Bar & Grill)
• 8:00 PM: Awards ceremony starts. We will announce the Overall and Masters winners. All Age Group Awards will be available for pick up in The Trak Shak.
• 8:10 PM: Costume contest
• 8:30 PM: Music and Drinks until ?
