Pat Magovern Shillelagh 5K, One-Mile Walk & Kids' Races

Race Overview

Join us for the 11th Annual Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh 5K, starting from Bar Anticipation in Lake Como on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

The course winds through the beautiful Jersey Shore towns of Belmar, Lake Como and Spring Lake. A One-Mile Walk and Kids' Race are also available.

Enjoy a post-race party at Bar Anticipation (703 16th Ave, Lake Como, NJ) with barbecue to follow.

Awards will be given across multiple age groups. Official timing provided by Elite Racing Systems.

Registration Details

5K Registration

• Early Bird Registration: $35 (through 8/31/25)
• Online Pre-Registration: $40 (9/1 - 9/28/25)
• Race Week Registration: $45 (9/29 - 10/4/25) - Shirts while supplies last

One-Mile Walk - (12 and over)

• Early Bird Registration: $30 (through 8/31/25)
• Online Pre-Registration: $35 (9/1 - 9/28/25)
• Race Week Registration: $40 (9/29 - 10/4/25) - Shirts while supplies last

Kids' One-Mile Walk - (11 and under)

• Early Bird Registration: $20 (through 10/2/25)
• Race Week Registration: $25 (10/3 - 10/4/25) In-Person Only

Packet Pickup

Post Registration / Bib &: T-Shirt Pickup: Shillelagh Club (815 16th Ave, Belmar, NJ) on Friday, 10/3, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Race Day from 7:30 - 8:45 AM at Bar Anticipation.

Charity and Donations

This year's race will be raising funds for Circle of Friends, which is dedicated to championing the rights, dignity, and potential of adults with intellectual disabilities throughout New Jersey, as well as the Shillelagh Foundation, which provides college scholarships to local students and assists individuals in need. Please consider making a donation during registration.
