Event Background

In 2026, the nation will celebrate the Route 66 Centennial, marking the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road serving the traveling public! Route 66 was one of the first continuous stretches of paved highway in the United States and served as a primary route for westward migrants.

• Date: Sunday, March 1, 2026
• Races: Half Marathon, 6.6-mile run, 6.6K run or walk, and a 1-mile walk.
• Beneficiary: A portion of proceeds will support the Albuquerque Little Theatre (ALT).

Event Schedule

• Half Marathon: 8:30 a.m. (Note: 3.5 Hour Cut-Off Time)
• 6.6 Mile Run: 8:45 a.m.
• 6.6K: 8:50 a.m.
• 1 Mile Walk: 8:55 a.m.

Runner Packet Pickup

• Date: Saturday, February 28, 2026
• Time: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Location: Heart and Sole Sports, 2817 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111
• Note: Race-day registration available: pre-registered participants encouraged to pick up their packets in advance.

Parking Information

Please use designated parking areas only. Do not park on San Pasquale Avenue or anywhere on the course as identified by traffic cones and event signage. Respect the neighborhood by not blocking driveways.

Restrooms

Located in the Albuquerque Little Theatre near the start/finish. Please allow plenty of time to use the restroom.

Medical Support

• Availability: Medical staff will be present to assist at any time.
• Distress Protocol: Officials may withdraw any runner who appears distressed or at risk.
• Notification: Inform event officials or volunteers of any health issues at the finish line.
• Help: If you require assistance at any point, please ask!
