🍪 CRAVIN’ COOKIES RUN

Register now for the Craving Cookies Run, featuring a 5K run or walk, a Kids K, and a virtual run or walk! Mariposa Basin Park is the perfect setting for this fun-filled event. Participants will receive awards for different age groups and overall winners, as well as an event t-shirt and medals for everyone. Plus, enjoy delicious cookies at the finish line! Don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and family, especially if they love cookies!

NOTE: WE WILL START ON TIME. YOU MUST BE AT THE START OF YOUR EVENT 10-15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE ABOVE START TIMES.

PLEASE NOTE: RACE-DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE: HOWEVER, ALL PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO PICK UP THEIR EVENT PACKETS AT “PACKET PICK-UP.”

Note: If you cannot pick up your packets in person at Packet Pickup, you must arrange for a representative to pick up your packet. Any out-of-town participants may pick up their packet on race morning at the registration area (Mariposa Basin Park).

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR A TIMING CHIP/BIB. TIMING CHIPS/BIBS MUST BE WORN ON THE FRONT – OUTSIDE CLOTHING- OF THE PERSON.

🏃‍♂️ EVENT DAY

CONDUCT: All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards the community and their fellow participants during the Event.

COMPLIANCE: Participants must follow instructions from all Event officials, including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, fire and police officials, security officers, and city officials, throughout the duration of the Event.

HEALTH GUIDELINES: Event attendees must adhere to city, state, and other public health guidelines and orders. Event attendees who are sick should not attend the Event.

🚦 COURSE MONITORING

DISQUALIFICATION: Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of Event officials may be disqualified.

COURSE INTEGRITY: No participant shall be allowed to rejoin the race after leaving the course.

ASSISTANCE PROHIBITION: Any participant who has received any assistance whatsoever from any other person may be disqualified.

🚨 PARTICIPANT SAFETY

WHEELED DEVICES: The use of wheeled devices by participants or any other person authorized to be on the course shall be strictly limited to authorized and registered wheelchair participants.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Medical personnel may examine any participant who appears in distress.

EMERGENCY REMOVAL: Participants must immediately retire from the race if ordered to do so by official staff.

⏳ RESULT TIMING

TIMING DEVICE: All participants are assigned an electronic timing device prior to the Event.

ACCURACY: Participants must wear their assigned timing device continuously from the start line to the finish line.

⚠️ TIMING DISQUALIFICATION

DEVICE USAGE: Participants found to be wearing two or more Event-issued electronic timing devices will be disqualified.

MISSING TIMES: Participants with missing or irregular split times may be disqualified.

🅿️ PARKING

PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS ONLY. DO NOT PARK ON ROADS AND/OR SIDEWALKS OR PEDESTRIAN BIKE PATHS. NOTE: AVAILABLE PARKING AT MARIPOSA BASIN PARK.

🚻 BATHROOM FACILITIES

Bathrooms are available near the start/finish.

🏁 START AND FINISH INFORMATION

The start location for the 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Kids K is Mariposa Basin Park. Participants must be on the field (start) by 9:45 a.m. to be ready for the 10:00 a.m. start.

🏅 RACE REQUIREMENTS

Each participant will receive a Race (Bib/Timing Chip) number that must be worn on race day. DO NOT alter your race number in any way.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IPOD/HEADPHONES: Yes, you can run with an iPod/headphones.

GPS DEVICES: Yes, participants may wear their GPS watches or devices.

NOT ALLOWED: The use of video devices, cell phones, or similar devices in the event is prohibited.

BABY JOGGERS: If you choose to run with a baby jogger, you must seed yourself behind all other runners.

🌩️ INCLEMENT WEATHER

Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event regarding heavy rain, thunderstorms, and extreme temperatures. Participants will be made aware of predictions on the RunFit website.

🚑 MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical staff will be ready to assist you at any time. If you feel that you need help at any point, please ask for it!

🏆 FINISH INFORMATION

All participants will finish on the Mariposa Basin Park Field (north). The overall and division award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on race day.

🍪 POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS

Cookies and more will be held near the finish.

Results will be posted immediately after the event near the finish as well as online at: www.irunfit.org.
