The Athens Ducks Unlimited Chapter is excited to bring you the 2025 Quack Attack 5k benefiting the conservation, protection, and management of Athens and Limestone County wetlands. We look forward to seeing you on race day!

• Location: Big Spring Memorial Park, Athens, AL
• Race Day Registration: 6:00am
• 5k Start Time: 7:00am

💵 Registration Fee

• Regular Registration through October 31st: $30
• Late Registration through November 7th: $35
• Race Day Registration November 8th: $40
• Note: Must register by October 8th to guarantee your shirt size

• Overall Male and Female: 1st place
• Masters (40+): 1st place
• GrandMasters (60+): 1st place
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd in multiple groups

• What is Ducks Unlimited? • When is the event? Saturday, November 8, 2025 - 7:00 am CT RACE START
• Where is the race? The race starts and finishes adjacent to the Big Spring Memorial Park in beautiful downtown Athens, Alabama.
• Packet Pickup: Early Packet Pickup for the Race will be held at one of our sponsorship locations on the Friday before the race (11/7) or you can pick up your race packet starting at 6:00 am race day morning at Big Spring Memorial Park.

👕 T-shirts and Medals

• Are t-shirts included with registration? Yes, if you register before the t-shirt deadline your exclusive race tee in the size you order is 100% guaranteed!
• Are there medals? Yes! Prizes and awards will be handed out for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals are awarded to the top female and male finishers in each of the 10-year age groups.
• Participation Prize: Every runner receives a participation prize!
• Age Groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

👟 Participation and Logistics

• Can I walk? Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk, so you will not be alone!
• Group Packet Pickup: Yes! All you’ll need is their full name and everyone will be ready to waddle on Race Day!
• Parking: This location has plenty of nearby Park and Street parking is available at no cost.
• Dogs: Well-socialized and leashed dogs are welcome at the back of the pack.

🚫 Course Restrictions

• Strollers: Yes, strollers are welcome at the back of the pack.
• Other Vehicles: We’re sorry, but only runners, joggers, walkers, baby strollers/joggers, restrained pets and wheelchairs are allowed.

⏱️ Course Details

• Is the course timed? Yes! USA Track & Field Certification Code: AL21009JE
• Does the course have hills? There are some small hills in the course, but nothing challenging above a 6-8% grade.
• Proceeds: This is a charity event, with proceeds for the benefit of the Athens Ducks Unlimited local conservation efforts.
• Can't be there? You can donate through our Sleepy Duck Registration Option.
