Event Overview

• Community Focused: The Pleasanton Run for Education is an event designed for the entire community.
• Annual Tradition: This is the 14th Annual event.
• Multiple Distances: Offers four distances: a 2 Mile, a 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk, 10K (6.2 Mile) Run, and a Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge (3-10 years).
• Family Friendly: The 2 Mile, 5K and 10K are stroller and walker-friendly events.

Race Information

• DATE: April 19, 2026
• LOCATION: 5001 Case Avenue, Pleasanton, CA
• START TIMES: 10K - 7:50am: 5K/2 Mile - 8:00am: Kids Challenge - 9:15am. Late starts are not permitted.
• Arrival: Please arrive at the start/finish area at least one hour early.

Entry Includes

• Race Kit: Entry includes a short sleeve performance blend t-shirt, race timing (5K/10K), and a commemorative bib number.
• Awards: Eligibility for age group and overall awards (5K/10K), finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.
• Age Divisions: Age divisions for the 5K and 10K are specified for awards.
• T-Shirt Options: Upgrade to a technical race t-shirt for $8.00 or opt-out to save $5.00.

School Division (New for 2025)

• Eligibility: Open to K-12 PUSD students.
• No Cost: There is no fee to enter the School Division.
• Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top student by gender from each school.
• Registration: Must pre-register for the School Division by April 26.

Kids' Challenge Entry Includes

• Overview: The Kids' Challenge is a 1/4 mile fun run for children ages 3 to 10.
• Start Time: 9:15 am.
• Inclusions: Entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt, commemorative bib number, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.
• No Competitive Times: No times or places kept for this challenge.

Pleasanton Unified School District Employees

• Discount Entry: All PUSD staff are offered a reduced-rate entry.
• ID Requirement: Must show PUSD ID Badge at Packet Pick Up to receive bib and t-shirt.
• Discount Duration: Available through Thursday, April 24th at 11:59 pm.

Packet Pick Up

• Date: Packet pick up on Saturday, April 26th at Amador Valley High School from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
• Race Day Pick Up: Available from 6:30 am onwards at the finish line.
• Plan Ahead: Arrive 75 minutes early if picking up on event day.
• ID Not Required: You may pick up for friends or family.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Dogs: Not permitted except for service dogs.
• Strollers: Yes, strollers are allowed in the 5K.
• Child Supervision: Children 11 or younger require adult supervision in the 2 Mile, 5K, or 10K.
• Entry Refunds: All entries are non-refundable but may be gifted.
