Event Overview

The Pleasanton Run for Education is an event designed for the entire community. The 14th Annual event will offer four distances:

• 2 Mile: Stroller and walker-friendly
• 5K (3.1 mile): Run or Walk, stroller-friendly
• 10K (6.2 Mile): Geared towards runners, stroller-friendly
• Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge: For ages 3-10

Race Information

DATE: April 19, 2026

LOCATION: Pleasanton Middle School, Pleasanton, CA 94566

START TIMES:

• 10K - 8 am
• 5K - 8:10 am
• 2 Mile - 8:15 am
• Kids Challenge - 9:20 am

Note: Late starts are not permitted as roadways must reopen to traffic promptly. Please arrive at the start/finish area at least one hour early to ensure you do not miss the start. Allow additional time for parking and walking to the site from the various downtown options. No parking will be allowed at Pleasanton Middle School or Hearst Elementary school.

Entry Includes

2 Mile, 5K, 10K: Entry includes a short sleeve performance blend t-shirt, race timing (5K/10K), commemorative bib number, eligibility for age group and overall awards (5K/10K), finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.

• Ages: All ages are welcome: no minimum age.
• Upgrade: Option to upgrade to a technical race t-shirt for $10.00.
• Opt-out: Save $5.00 if you choose to opt-out of the t-shirt.
• Awards: Age divisions for awards exist for both the 5K and 10K.

Kids' Challenge

KIDS' CHALLENGE ENTRY: The Kids' Challenge is a 1/4 mile fun run for children ages 3 to 10. Entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt, commemorative bib number, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Start Time: 9:20 am.

Snooze for Schools

This category offers members of the community the chance to support the event without attending on race day. This includes a T-shirt (opt-out available to save $5). Note: shirts are not mailed: pick up at Packet Pick Up on April 18.

Pleasanton Unified School District Employees

PUSD employees are offered a reduced-rate entry. Those registering must show their PUSD ID Badge at Packet Pick Up. The discount is available through April 16 at 11:59 pm.

Packet Pick Up

Race packet pick up will be held on April 18th at Pleasanton Middle School from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with additional pick up on race day starting at 6:30 am.

• Are dogs permitted? Dogs are not permitted, except for service dogs.
• Can I push my infant in a stroller in the 5K? Yes.
• Do I need to register to run alongside my 9-year-old? Yes, all participants must be registered.
• Can I walk the 2 Mile? Yes, the 2 Mile and 5K are walker-friendly.
