Race Description

• Event: Celebrate National Mental Health Awareness Month by joining Iberia Mental Health Initiative for the annual Bayou Side Run.
• Purpose: Race the streets of New Iberia raising mental health awareness and funds.
• Registration: Includes entry into the 5k or 1-mile run/walk, t-shirt, finisher medal, and an experience of a lifetime.
• Timing: Chip timing will be used for the race.

Registration Fees

• Early Registration 5k: $30.00
• Early Registration 1 Mile Fun Run: $30.00
• Late Registration: April 12th - April 29th: $35.00
• Race Day Registration: 6:30 am - 7:30 am Onsite Cash Only - $35.00

Team Discount Registration

• Now till April 11th: $20.00 per individual for Early Registration once 10 have registered.
• From April 12th - May 1st: $25.00 per individual for Late Registration once 10 have registered.

Team Benefits

• Create a Team: Invite your family and friends to join your team.
• Refunds: Once the 10th member registers, the first 9 members will receive a $10 refund on their registration.
• Registration Costs: Everyone after that will only pay $20 before April 12th: $25 from April 12th - May 1st.
• Prize: The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.

Shirt Guarantee

• Deadline: Must be Registered by April 10th to be guaranteed a shirt.

Packet Pickup

• Location: Pelicans on the Bayou, 5 Jefferson Street, New Iberia
• Date & Time: April 30th, 4:30-5:30
• Onsite: Day of Race, May 2nd, 6:30 am - 7:30 am

Age Groups for 5K Only

• Categories: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc. 70+

Awards for 5K Only

• Overall Awards: Top Overall Male & Female, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male & Female in each age group for the 5K.
• Team Award: Bayou Side Team Award for the Largest Group.

Beneficiary

• Organization: Iberia Mental Health Initiative.
• Mission: A coalition of concerned citizens dedicated to identifying and addressing mental health needs in our community.
• Funding: Proceeds are invested back into the community to raise awareness for mental health through programs and events.

Inclement Weather Policy

• Refund Policy: No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
• Safety: The safety of our athletes and volunteers is our primary concern.
• Rain Policy: The event will NOT be canceled due to rain alone.
• Lightning: If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, the event will be postponed for a minimum of 20 minutes.
