Eligibility: The Mighty Mile is for kids only ages 5 to 14 years old.
Purpose: This race is part of the Michigan Running Foundation Mighty Mile series aimed at encouraging children to run and stay active.
Location: The race is located at the Parkside Middle School Track on Thursday evening, June 4th.
Goal: We hope to have a fun and challenging event for all the kids to get their summer off to a running and healthy start!
Registration Details
Cost: FREE! There is no entry fee to run the Mighty Mile.
Online Registration: Registration must be completed online prior to the race: no registration available at the race.
Participant Limit: Race is limited to the first 200 participants. Register for the race early!
Packet Pickup: Race day at the Parkside Middle School Track starting at 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm.
Race Schedule
Race 1: 6:30 pm | 5 - 7 year olds
Race 2: 6:50 pm | 8 - 9 year olds
Race 3: 7:10 pm | 10 - 11 year olds
Race 4: 7:25 pm | 12 - 14 year olds
Race Amenities
What Runners Receive: All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile.
Finisher Medal: Once the runner crosses the finish line, they will receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal.
Results: This race will be electronically timed, and results will be available immediately after the race.
Awards: There are no awards for the race, but all runners will receive a Mighty Mile medal.
Course Information
Course Location: The start and finish is on the Parkside Middle School Track.
Course Layout: The first 1/4 mile of the race is on the track, followed by a loop on school grounds and finishing with a 1/4 mile on the track.
Support: Members of the Grow Jackson Organization will be along the entire course to offer encouragement and support.
Parental Involvement: Feel free to run with your child!
Additional Information
Hydration: Bring water for your child: there is no water available at the race.
