• Date: Saturday, May 30th, 2026

🎖️ Event Purpose

• Honoring: The memory of an Iraq war hero from Mount Sinai, NY.
• Support: Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Project for Veterans facing PTSD and TBI.

👟 Race Details

• Location: Rocky Point High School, Rocky Point, NY.
• Course: Trails, hills, and track in the Pines.
• Participation: Runners and walkers of all age groups are welcome.
• Included: Medals and t-shirts on race day.

📝 Registration Information

• Time: Registration starts at 10:00 AM.
• Race Start: 12:30 PM.

🎁 Amenities

• Medals: Age Group Medals & refreshments afterwards!
• T-shirts: Guaranteed to the first 300 registrants!
• Awards: Top three men/women in walk only category get awards too!

💰 Fees

• Pre-registration: $25 (by 5/29 at 6 PM).
• Day-of Fee: $35 (CASH OR CHECK ONLY).

📍 Course Description

• Start: Rocky Point HS.
• Route: Travel South on Rocky Point Rd to Rocky Point Historical sign.
• Direction: Make a right at the yellow pipe and follow signs to RPHS.

• Beneficiary: Joseph Dwyer Program: PTSD Peer to Peer Network.
• Established: Launched in 2012 as part of a partnership between Suffolk County United Veterans and Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency.
• Approach: Confidential one-on-one peer-to-peer support for veterans.
• Impact: Demonstrated effectiveness in helping veterans transition back into civilian life.
