Event Overview
Black Men Run Sacramento presents our 4th Annual Black History Month Family 5k Run/Walk!
Mission Statement
- Encouragement: The Black History Month Family 5k Walk/Run encourages healthy lifestyles within the Black community.
- Promotion: Promoting physical activity like running and walking.
- Connections: Fostering connections with BIPOC organizations dedicated to improving health outcomes.
- Generational Health: This event helps create a new standard for generations to follow.
Participation Details
- Options: We welcome walkers and runners to choose whichever distance works for you and your family!
- Beneficiary: Net proceeds go to the Capitol City Black Nurses Association.
- Incentive: The first 200 registrants will receive a medal.
- Location: The race starts and ends at REI Sacramento.
Additional Information
- Medals Availability: As of 7:10 PM, February 9th, medals are no longer available.
- Raffle Prizes: No worries, there will be plenty of raffle prizes and giveaways!
- Tote Bags: All attendees will receive a free BMR branded canvas tote bag, compliments of REI! (while supplies last).
- Virtual Participation: If you are not in the Sacramento area or cannot attend in person, we encourage you to run/walk this event virtually to support the amazing health equity work of the Capitol City Black Nurses Association.
